in living organisms and in social organizations entirely self-supporting, non-interacting entities do not exist
Every identifiable unit of organization, such as a single cell in an animal or a family unit in a society, comprises more basic units
(plasma and nucleus, parents and siblings) while at the same time forming a part of a larger unit of organization (a muscle tissue,
a body organ, an organ family or a community of people).
In other words, there is a transpersonal relationship evident in the structure of every organisation between each whole and the interrelationship of the parts.
A holon is an identifiable part of a system that has a unique identity, yet is made up of sub-ordinate parts and in turn is part of a larger whole.
Within Humanity, each individual Male is a Holon as is each Female.
The Relationship (Unit existing in Homeostasis or interchanging energies) of a Male with a Female is also a Holon, yet each of these
bipolar units is part of the Family Holon, the Tribe Holon .. and so on.
The strength of the holonic organization or transpersonal structure, or holarchy, is that it enables the synthesis of very
complex coherent arrangements that are efficient in the use of resources, resilient to
disturbances (both internal and external), and adaptable to changes in the environment in which they exist.
All these characteristics can be observed in the biological and social systems of the inter-relationship of all life.
The stability of holons and holarchies stems from each holon being a self-reliant unit, with a
degree of independence and handle circumstances and problems on their particular level of existence ...
without asking higher level holons for assistance.
Thus, a single cell (feminine principle) modifies its structure to gain its most favourable relationship (Homeostasis) with its environment (Masculine Principle).
In this transpersonal structure, each Holon is self-reliant AND is part of a bidirectional
feedback between both higher and lower level holons.
The self-reliant characteristic ensures that individual holons are relatively stable and to an extent, able to survive disturbances.
The subordination to higher level holons ensures the effective operation and cooperation of the larger whole.
A Stem Cell is an example of a primary, yet undefined holon which carries the program for every function of the Human Body, and which responds to its Environment and the Spirit of Co-operation of the Organ to take on a specialised function within a higher level holarchy.
An Enlightened individual is no different from a Stem Cell.
From this perspective, the parables and stories of ALL of the World's Spiritual Texts and Holy
Scriptures become related. Each is simply a description of the Relationships of All Life - written
in the words of the time for the people of that time and culture.
